NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN WRITERS ASSOCIATION

Have Your Work Professionally Critiqued

Take advantage of our professional critiquing service at the Northwest Christian Writers Renewal. Members of NCWA's Editors Connection are available to give your work a thorough edit at a discounted price.

For just $20.00 (when you are also paying Renewal registration fees) you may purchase a critique of a selected portion of your manuscript, which includes a 30-minute face-to-face session at the conference with the reviewer of your choice.

Please note:

  • When you register for the Renewal conference, you may select a paid critique as an additional option during the conference registration process. Payment for this service will be added to the conference registration fee.
  • Unless otherwise noted, all submissions should follow standard manuscript formatting (12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced with 1-inch margins). You will be be given instructions regarding your reviewer's contact information and preferred method of delivery.
  • Submissions must be received by the reviewer's deadline in order to be critiqued.
  • You will be notified of your appointment time.
  • The Professional Critique service includes only one critique of the work you submit. Critiques of revised pages are not included in this discounted price, so please refrain from requesting that your reviewer give a subsequent review without proper compensation. You are welcome, however, to inquire concerning their normal editing rates.

Editors available for paid critiques at the Renewal

Marlene McCurley of MWords and Hannah Smith of Potential Finders are providing professional critiques this year. Please study the guidelines carefully, since they vary concerning submission length and deadline, along with the genre of work accepted for review.

On the conference registration form you will be asked to indicate the editor you’d like as a reviewer. We have only a limited number of openings, so be sure to register early while there's still a chance to take advantage of this special feature.
